Braids, shoes and Aamerik

Her first french braid, she was wanting a braid for school and was so excited when she was done.

I got these cute saddle shoes to go with Tariyah's uniform for school, but they keep un-tying so she wouldn't wear them.  Her other shoes that she does like don't tie either, they have elastic running across them, soooo...I decided to try that with these too.

Lately he has been making these really funny faces when he seems to be curious or confused about something.  It is so cute and I try to capture it, but he moves or turns too quickly and I can't get it.  It is somewhere between the photo on the left and the one below, ha ha...He scrunches his eye brows, and nose, puckers his lips, cocks his head to the side and says "huh?"

I really wish the picture of Walt turned out better, I may have to go back to get one with out the shadows...these are the pictures that are in the Hall of the Disney Casting center where you go for your job interviews and human resources.
More Disney pictures in the Hallway

This is the look he gives when he sees anyone that he knows, leave and he is not going with them.

Halloween in Davenport

Our Halloween started this year on the 27th...the day of our Annual Trunk or Treat/Chili soup feed at Church.  I love Trunk or Treats!
Taiason had no real idea of a costume, so I saw that my friend Jessica had done this for her daughter and I decided to adapt if for Taiason.  We got those small boxes of cereal, ripped them up and stapled them to her shirt and glued pieces of cereal all over.  We even stuck a spoon in one of the boxes.  The she had her large spoon and bowl, but forgot the bowl for the picture.  She was a "Cereal Killer" lol too cute.
Of course we had to have our beautiful Princess :o)

Our cutest little Batman ever!!!
She was a Spider Witch wearing princess shoes.
Some sort of crazy pirate, ha ha
he had to make sure he looked tough

soooo...he did have a theme in mind, sort of...he wanted to be a bike rider, but then added a clown hat, skeleton gloves and even a pirate patch....I think he couldn't make up his mind.

Tired after all the Halloween Trunk or Treatin' fun!!

Then on Halloween night we thought we would go check out the city's idea of a "Safe Halloween Party"
This is the start of the their Haunted Truck, the kids got to go inside the semi truck parked in the back.
This time we had a school girl, 50's girl, a batman/ninja/vampire, Fruit Ninja, green haired spider witch, and a cute witch
His costume was the "Cutest little boy on the block", he played it well!!

This is what we do with our Cotton Candy, the party was fun, free Hot Dogs, Soda/Water, Cookies/Cupcakes, Cotton Candy, Popcorn, and games for the kids.  It kept them busy and me Happy! They even had a costume contest, next year Taiason wants to concentrate and a really unique costume, I think we need to start now, because by the time Halloween comes, we can never afford to do something more than the plain costumes we have.
I saw a really cute scarecrow I think she should go for next year...wish I got a picture of her.

Now these are just a bit creepy, lol

Love her expression, they had this great area for all kinds of pictures, pretty cool.

After we were done at the City Party, I let the kids go to a decorated house at the end of the block, then they made their way up another block and found another "Safe Halloween Party" put on by a church.  It too was free.  So the kids got to do a little bit of Table or Treating, play in a bounce house, get Nachos, Popcorn and Sno Cones....I'd say it was a good night.
