Common Ground Park

Last Saturday, Jaemyn had an 11 year old Scout Activity at the Stake Center in Lakeland.  I remembered Sis Murray telling me about a park in Lakeland so I thought it would be fun to take the other kids and let them play while he was at his activity.
This was a really unique park with various level of play activity, like Easy, Intermediate, and Challenging.
There was Rock Climbing, Sliding/Rolling down hills,
A Butterfly sanctuary with several statues like this one.
They also had these statues of Kids all around the park, the park is called Common Ground and I think that   they are trying to promote that there is something here for everyone, it doesn't matter who you are.

 This is the "Autism" butterfly

Her Rolling didn't work as well as she hoped, lol

Trying her skills at skateboarding, sorta
spinning around and around and around.

 Gettin' his music on.
She wanted to pose like this, ha ha
The Butterfly area, there was a really BIG BRIGHT Yellow Butterfly that was flying around and I tried to get a picture of it, but it was too fast.  It was soooo pretty.

The grounds in the play area are soft and some of it is artificial grass.

A Huge swing, I almost wanted to lay in it, lol

He's not to sure about this...

doing a little better....
 wait...mom....pick me up!!!!

He handled this a bit better....
But really I think he was just hungry...

yep, definitely hungry.

 My sweet boy.
Oreo cookies on the way home.

The park was really cool and I hope it is not too hot to go in June when my mom comes, ok who am I kidding, it probably will be.

First Time to Epcot!!! Starship Date!!!

Kacy put a post on Facebook about excited to see the Flower/Garden Festival at Epcot and seeing Starship. I asked her if it was the group Starship and she said that I should go with her.  Who am I to say NO? lol...When the time came to go it was a weekend that Sam was coming home, so I wasn't sure if I could go, but would you believe that amazing Kacy Wentzel asked if Sam would like to go too??? So off we went to Epcot.  It was so cool to see all the different shaped bushes.  Kacy and Linsie Butikofer also went, what a lucky day that no one had kids with them, except we did take Aamerik.  I am glad that the Ladies got a bit of a break.
We went on the ride in that Epcot Ball, loved it!
 Linsie, Me & Kacy
 Aamerik, Sam & Me

Then we got to see Starship in Concert!!
It was great, we didn't get to hear all of my favorite songs, but we ended with "We built this City"  It was great.

Aamerik was a very good boy, I think he had fun.

On the Ferry ride back to the otherside of Epcot

The passes that Kacy gave us were Hopper passes so we were able to go to Magic Kingdom for a little while

The lights really captured his attention.

Then put him to sleep :o)

They had a really cool screen show on the castle, it was just amazing. After the Fireworks show we had enough time to do one ride.  So what ride do you go on when you have a little one sleeping and you need to be sure that you can all go together.  It's a Small World, that's right.  I will forever love that ride. :o)

I tried to upload my video of it but it didn't work, :o/  I will have to find out why.
I can't wait to go back to Walt Disney World in June when Mom, Jeriann, Shaun, Janie, Haidyn and Hunter come to visit.  It will be soooo much fun.
