Time Out For Women

Aaliyah and Tariyah went to spend spring break with Bapa in Savannah, but they were a bit disappointed their stay wasn't quite as long.  I have a feeling Aaliyah will be getting to do something that the other kids are not gonna get to do, so it should make up for it.  I am thankful that all the kids enjoy spending time with Dad.  That is important to their growing up.

I had the opportunity to go to Time Out For Women, thanks to Jenny Chadwick and Jeannie Cook, they ended up with an extra ticket for both Friday and Saturday which was about $80.  It was my first time and I really enjoyed it. Can't wait to go next year.

Jericho Road

The messages were so special and just awesome all around.  A lot of it was exactly what I needed to hear of course.  The over all message was to "Seek the Good".  I really enjoyed getting to hear Hilary and Jericho Road sing.  I now own a CD from each of them :o)  I love the calming music in my car.  It was also such a special thing to experience with Jeannie and Jenny, it was great.

Birthday Boys

 I missed a couple of Birthday's, Aamerik turned a year old on February 23rd and Jaemyn turned 11 on March 2nd.  We didn't do a whole lot this year, think I need to get a little better at this celebrating thing, ha ha

I can't find the pictures, but he was a blue mess when he was done!! Perhaps they are on my missing phone that he lost for me. :o)

Teighlor made these frozen treats for Jaemyn's birthday, I don't remember what they were called.

Time with Bapa

Tariyah wanted to spend some time with her dad, so he decided to take her to Savannah with him. While he worked she stayed with Brother and Sister Cribb during the day. She really enjoyed herself and loved getting to spend time with Daddy.

So when Sam brought her back, he suggested to Jairyn that he wanted to take him with him. Jairyn got excited and his mind started working on how it could work. He came and told me that Bapa wanted to take him to Savannah, I knew that this time with him would be important and special so I didn't have a problem with it. Sam would be gone for 2 weeks this time so Jairyn would be missing alot of school. Then the thought of Jaemyn going with him came up. The boys ended up missing 2 weeks of school and I received a phone call from the school saying they would have to un-enroll them after missing 2 weeks. I didn't realize it would be that serious as I was still getting their homework for them. I explained they were spending time with their dad and got it worked out. She said they would be un-excused absences, but after the quality time the boys were able to spend with Sam, that is ok with me. Far more worth it to be with Dad.

I noticed after they got back from spending time with Sam that the relationship had changed a little, definitely for the positive. I hope it can happen more often, it is very important for them to build that relationship now.
